1. Ben Chifley

Joseph Benedict "Ben" Chifley (1885-1951) was the 16th Prime Minister of Australia, serving from 1945 to 1949. He was born in Bathurst and worked as a locomotive engineer before entering politics. Chifley is known for his role in post-World War II reconstruction and his focus on social welfare policies.

2. John Barnes

John Barnes (born 1963) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Bathurst Panthers and later the Penrith Panthers. He represented Australia in rugby league and was known for his powerful running and try-scoring ability.

3. Laura Dundovic

Laura Dundovic (born 1987) is an Australian beauty queen who won the Miss Universe Australia title in 2008. She later represented Australia in the Miss Universe pageant. Dundovic grew up in Bathurst and has since become a television presenter and model.

John Cobley (1872-1929) was an early Australian aviator and airline entrepreneur. He started one of the first airmail services in Australia and established an airline company, Cobham Aviation Services, which still operates today. Cobley was born in Bathurst.
